A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been extended by the Met Office for most of southern England, and Southampton could be affected.

The warning is in place from midnight on Wednesday, March 8 to 9 am on Thursday, March 9.

This alert also covers Eastleigh, Winchester, Romsey, the New Forest, and the surrounding areas.

On the Met Office website, it said: "Spells of snow on Wednesday may cause travel disruption during Wednesday into Thursday morning."

Ahead of this, here's what the Met Office forecast hour-by-hour shows for Southampton when the weather warning is in place.
