THE following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

BRANDON ANDREWS, 25, of Vaudrey Close, Southampton. Admitted three charges of assault by beating. Remanded on unconditional bail until the next hearing on April 21.

CLAYD ROACH, 24, of Acacia Road, Southampton. Admitted one charge of assault by beating and one charge of harassment by breaching a restraining order. Remanded on conditional bail until the next hearing on April 26 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

MICHAEL MCGRANAGHAN, 66, of Drove Road, Southampton. Admitted one charge of using threatening and abusive words and behaviour. Jailed for a total of 16 weeks suspended for 18 months. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and court costs of £85.

GEORGE NUNN, 18, of Hardings Lane, Fair Oak. Admitted one charge of the possession of a knife in a public place and one charge of the possession of cannabis. Ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and court costs of £85.

MARK HAMBLETON, 57, of Witts Hill, Southampton. Admitted one charge of sending a threatening Facebook message. Remanded on conditional bail until the next hearing on April 11 as the defendant has been sectioned.

DAVID FISHER, 34, of no fixed address. Admitted one charge of theft and one charge of assault by beating. Remanded in custody until the next hearing on March 29 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
