A MAN "armed with a machete" threatened people in a town square.
Police are appealing for information following the incident in Wickham Square.
Officers were called following reports of a man with a machete.
A 39-year-old man from Wickham was arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been released on conditional bail following the incident at around 5.20pm on March 9.
Police have now released an image of three people they want to speak to in connection with their investigation.
A spokesperson for the force said: "If you are pictured, or if you recognise any of the three people in this image, please get in touch.
"We would also like to hear from anyone we have not yet spoken to who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.
