THE freehold interest in a row of shops in Southampton has gone up for sale at auction with a guide price of £2.5m.

Auctioneers Acuitus has listed the ten shops, ten flats and an office in 23-41 London Road.

Shops let to tenants include Subway, Nisa Express, and Leeds Building Society.

Other units are occupied by a takeaway, two cafes, a pizza restaurant and a Chinese restaurant.

David Margolis, from Acuitus, said: “This parade has been in the same ownership for the past 28 years, and is located in a prominent trading location in Southampton.

“We have seen a flow of retail parades come through the auction room over the past 12 months, and they have proved extremely popular with investors.

"The multiple revenue streams and active asset management opportunities are key factors for purchasers.”

The majority of shops were let or renewed in 2020, 2021 and 2022. The flats and office are all let on long leases.

The combined rental income for the row up for sale is £257,550 a year.

The auction will take place on Thursday, March 30 at 2pm. It will be broadcast via livestream on the Acuitus website.
