A hit-and-run van driver ploughed into a fence before smashing into two cars and fleeing the scene.
Nursling residents were woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of revving and metal scratching.
The van was driven through a pedestrian path on Barker Mill Close used by dogwalkers and other residents before crashing into two parked cars.
Leadville Parsons, 48, fears his silver Toyota Auris, bought less than a year ago, will be written off.
He said: “If this car gets written off by the insurer, I’m going to have to sell it for less than it's worth, which is another headache.
“Because I don’t have a courtesy car cover I’m probably going to have to pay for my replacement car which isn’t great."
Toby Darling, who lives right next to the path, was asleep when he heard the commotion.

The 32-year-old said: “I woke up to the sound of revving and a noise like the scratch of metal and smashing.
“Maybe that was the sound of the barrier being hit, that’s when the lights came on and then we saw the driver start revving and hitting the car.”
The dad-of-two's black Peugeot 208 was inches away from being ploughed into.
He said: “It looked like it was hitting ours at first but then we realised it wasn’t. We just didn’t know what was going on, I was just baffled because I couldn’t work out why he was doing it.”
