A DISPERSAL order has been put in place in Eastleigh as police work to crack down on anti-social behaviour.
Officers from Eastleigh's Neighbourhood Policing Team will be patrolling the town centre between the A335 and Cable Street.
The special powers allow police to order people engaging in anti-social behaviour to leave the area.
It also lets officers seize items from perpetrators.
Those under 16 can be escorted home, and "follow-up work done with their parents".
The order was out in place at 4.30pm on Friday and will remain active until 4.30pm on Sunday.
Police Sergeant Tom Cottrell said: "We know that anti-social behaviour has a negative impact on those living and working in the area.
"Anyone who witnesses anti-social behaviour or large crowds should dial 101 or report it online at www.hampshire.police.uk."
"If a crime is in progress, call 999."
