AN AFRICAN crime-busting team has been carrying out operations alongside Hampshire police in Southampton Water. 

A speed boat full of riot gear-wearing officers has been spotted in the Solent.

The Hampshire Marine Unit has been working alongside the Nigerian National Drug Law Enforcement Agency as part of a two-week training course run by the UK Home Office.

They are working together to combat serious organised crime including drug and human trafficking.

Officers from the Nigerian agency have been seen in Hamble and also speeding alongside the Hythe Ferry.
