New homes have been unveiled as part of a shared ownership scheme.
Eleven homes have been opened in a highly sought area of Fareham as part of the scheme to help more people into the housing ladder.
The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Mike Form, was joined by the council leader Cllr Sean Woodward and executive member for housing, Cllr Connie Hockley, to officially open the site on Capella Close, Hill Head.
Other councillors also visited the site on Monday.
The new development includes two one-bedroom, seven two-bedroom and two three-bedroom houses.
Shared ownership is a government-backed, part buy part rent scheme designed to provide a more affordable route to home ownership.
Residents pay for a percentage of their home’s full market value and enter into a lease agreement with Fareham housing to rent on the remaining share.
Cllr Hockley said: “I am extremely happy to see Fareham Housing open this fabulous new shared ownership scheme at Capella Close.”
She added: “All the houses have already been reserved which is a testament to the quality of the properties and the need for schemes such as this in the area.”
