IMITATION firearms, weapons and drugs were found at addresses in Southampton following three police raids yesterday.

Three people were arrested after officers searched properties in Lydgate Road and Lydgate Close in Thornhill and Vanguard Road in Bitterne.

They found suspected Class A drugs and Class B drugs, a number of offensive weapons and imitation firearms and other drug-related paraphernalia.

Following the warrants just before midday, a 39-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession of a Class B drug.

They have both since been released on conditional bail until June 30.

A 48-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear at court while a man from Southampton was issued with a Community Resolution Order for possession of a Class B drug. 

A police spokesperson said: "We would like to thank the local residents for their patience as we completed our enquiries yesterday.

"As a reminder, information that we receive from the community is vital and informs where we put our resources, while allowing us to take action against any illegal activity.
