More than 6,000 runners descended onto Southampton today for the ABP Southampton marathon.
The annual event was once again a success, with a record-breaking number of participants, some wearing fancy dress, taking on either the full marathon, half marathon, 10k or 5k.

But the marathon isn't just for sports-loving adults.
Children were invited to take part in the Fun Run at 3.30pm once the marathon had ended.
Anyone over the age of two years old was invited to have a go.
Children ran with their parents, siblings, and friends as they were cheered on by onlookers lining the streets.
