From great cafés to house plant and homeware sections, garden centres have become more than seeds and shrubbery in recent years.
As we enter spring, many of us are thinking about our gardens growing and what to plant.
We asked our green-fingered readers for their favourite garden centres around the Southampton area and Eastleigh.

Brambridge Park Garden Centre

Brambridge Park Garden Centre in Eastleigh proved to be a popular pick among readers, with one describing it as "the absolute best" on our Facebook post.
The centre offers an extensive range of gardening tools and products, including compost, fertilisers and wild bird care.
It also has its own seasonal department with a range of products suitable for your garden for that time of year.
Plus, it has its own Country House Restaurant offering hot meals and even two resident goats called Chilli and Pepper.
Haskins
Address: Gaters Mill, Mansbridge Rd, West End, Southampton, SO18 3HW
Haskins in West End is a large store that offers a wide range of gardening products that will cover almost anything you need.
Additional features include its Plant Advice Centre, restaurant and dogs being allowed in the centre.
One reader praised it, saying: "Haskins is beautiful at Christmas Time and lovely throughout the year."
Hillier
Address: Woodhouse Lane, Botley, Southampton, SO30 2EZ
Just a few miles outside of Southampton you can find the Hillier Garden Centre in Botley.
Its website says: "As one of the longest-running Hillier Garden Centres, Botley has been at the heart of the community for almost 40 years.
"Discover a fantastic range of quality plants, many grown a short distance away by Hillier at our nurseries in Hampshire; garden items and beautiful homeware along with expert plant advice and a friendly welcome at our contemporary Mulberry & Thyme restaurant."
Mayfield Plant Nursery and Garden Centre
Address: Mayfield Park, Weston Lane, Southampton, SO19 9HL
This plant nursery, garden centre and cafe is a multi-faceted site that will likely be able to find you most plants that you will need.
Its website says: "We stock a wide range of plants for your home and garden. If you’re looking for something specific, we may be able to order it for you, simply ask one of our friendly team!
"We also have a small, independent fresh fruit and vegetable shop on site as well as local crafts and gifts available to buy."
One reader praised Mayfield, saying: "Love Mayfield Nurseries for their products and all they do for the community."
The Garden Society
Address: Allington Lane, Southampton, SO50 7DE
The Garden Society was picked out 10 times on our Facebook post about the garden centres showing it to be a popular option.
Its website says: "More than just gardens, we’re set on nurturing imagination and harvesting creativity.
"Our passion for design, lifestyle and nature feed into everything we do to create a unique environment for you to experience and take home. Explore a social setting that is secluded and forever discoverable."
Pickwell Farm
Address: Grange Road, Bursledon, Southampton, SO31 8GD
Pickwell Farm received a couple of nominations from readers, with one writing: "Pickwell Farm has a massive range of beautiful bedding plants, vegetable plants, shrubs and much more".
That description sums it up quite nicely, with a wide variety of items to buy.

Shergolds
Address: Burnetts Lane, Southampton, SO30 2HH
Shergolds in West End also received a couple of nominations from readers, with it having a wide selection of plants and trees available.
Additionally, there are plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a huge range of pet supplies and animal feed.
