A SOUTHAMPTON coffee shop has said it has procedures to make sure food is safe and fresh after receiving a one-out-of-five hygiene rating.
Muse Coffee Company Limited at The Broadway on Portswood Road was given the score after an assessment on March 14.
It means that out of Southampton's 400 restaurants, cafes and canteens, none have zero ratings with 332 boasting five out of five.

The coffee company said the latest rating was "unfortunate".
It said its site in London Road recently received a five-out-of-five score.
A spokesperson for the company said: "A new member of staff was present at the time, I was out of the country and our manager was on her day off so it was just bad luck for us.
"We can assure our customers we have procedures in place to always ensure our cakes/sandwiches are fresh and safe to consume."
