A NEW street food festival is coming to Southampton this summer.

The Street Food Circus team will tansform Crosshouse Car Park, next to the River Itchen, into a boutique-style festival food and drink village on June 3 and 4 for Summer Feastival.

Brought to the city by a team who previously worked on Common People, Bestival and Camp Bestival, it's their first standalone event outside South Wales.

For a decade, Street Food Circus has been running successful street food events with delicious food from local suppliers, drinks, DJs, and circus performers.

They feature food by some of the region's most inspiring chefs as well as some travelling from far and wide.

That's all while sipping on a Tiny Rebel Pale Ale, or a cocktail in the Dessert Island Disco area where some of the best local DJs spin tunes.

Daily Echo: Street Feastival is coming to Southampton this summer

Summer Feastival is coming to Southampton thanks to local event and festival producer Matt Sanger and Matt the Hat, the Creative Director of Street Food Circus, who have discussed the idea while working on some of the South's biggest festivals

Matt Sanger said: "When I’ve walked over the Itchen Bridge, I have looked at this space and imagined what it could be transformed into many times. And now, this event is happening. We will be showcasing incredible food trucks, we’ve got a great DJ line-up, brilliant drinks and I can’t wait to see the circus performers.

Matt Lawton, from Street Food Circus, added: "We hope this is the start of a great collaboration offering something deliciously different. It will be the perfect day out for everyone, families, friends and extended tribes, come hungry!"
