One must wonder whether TV channel GB News thinks that Hampshire is close to Wales.

As an occasional viewer of GB I find it perplexing that the supporting ‘ads’ all seem to direct viewers to Wales and Welsh advertisers, who urge viewers to buy cars, dispose of their gold, buy furniture and other stuff from Swansea, Cardiff and other places in Wales.

Perhaps they confuse the Bristol Channel with the English Channel, on which parts of Hampshire are located, whereas Somerset is located on the Bristol Channel, opposite to Wales.

Readers of the Echo buy it, as I do, for local news and to see promotions by local or national advertisers, not to see stuff from another country.

I would be interested to see whether other readers of the Echo who also watch GB News find this piece of “engineered geography” perplexing.
