TRAVELLERS at a Southampton park have been issued with a direction to leave a or risk being evicted by the courts.
Southampton City Council says it issued a "direction to leave" to the travellers at Mayfield Park on Friday.
The unauthorised encampment, which includes about 23 caravans and cars, arrived at the site in Woolston last Monday.

But despite Active Nation, the charity which leases the park, serving a formal direction for them to leave on Thursday, they still remained.
A spokesperson for the city council said: "If the occupants fail to leave, Southampton City Council will make an application to the court for the occupants to be evicted."
Anyone with information on anti-social behaviour or criminality is asked to contact the police on 101 or online.
