A PROLIFIC thief who stole cheese, chocolate and tuna has been hauled before court.
Andrew Thomson appeared in court charged with eight counts of theft from a shop.
The court heard how the 45-year-old first stole chocolates worth £123 from the Co-op store on Millbrook Road West on May 8.
Two days later, he returned and stole chocolates worth £300.
On May 13, he stole more chocolate worth £91, and a further £153 worth of chocolate the next day.
He returned to the shop twice on May 15 and took £60 worth of chocolate as well as £100 of tinned tuna.
He then stole £30 worth of fresh meat from the same shop on May 16.
On May 17, he stole butter, cheese, and chocolate worth £114.75.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted eight charges of theft from a shop.
Thomason, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton, was remanded on unconditional bail until the next hearing on August 2 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
