THREE Labour councillors have been elected to Southampton’s Coxford Ward following an election held after the death of a candidate.

Residents in Coxford ward went to the polls yesterday to elect three new members of Southampton City Council.

The poll was originally set to take place on May 4, however the vote had to be abandoned after Conservative candidate Graham Galton passed away on polling day. His wife Diane stood for election but did not succeed in her bid.
