Two people have been arrested after a suspected gun and Class A drugs were found at a house in Thornhill.
Officers stopped and searched a man known to police on Tatwin Crescent at around 12.14pm on Monday.
After arresting the 41-year-old for possession of Class A drugs, police searched an address in Lydgate Road where they found more suspected Class A drugs and weapons, including a suspected gun.
A 36-year-old woman from Southampton was also arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with the intent to supply.
Both have been released on initial police bail while enquiries continue.
