SOUTHAMPTON Sports Centre was put to good use on July 29, 1990, when these pictures were taken.
Athletes of all ages congregated in the complex to compete in a range of track, field and other sporting events.
From shot put to the 100 metres, many sporting skills were put to the test under the summer sun.
