The search for a missing 14-year-old girl has come to an end now she has been found by police.

Millie was last seen at her home in Southampton on Tuesday at 10.20am - leading to four days of searching by officers.

At around 9.45am today, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed she had been found safe.

The force has since confirmed that she was found this morning in the Basingstoke area.

News of Millie's disappearance caused a big response on social media, with hundreds of people sharing the appeal.

At the time, police urged people to call 999 if they saw Millie, describing her as being white with blonde hair, approximately 5ft 2in tall in height, with brown eyes, and a nose piercing.

A spokesperson said: “Have you seen Millie? She was wearing blue denim shorts, a red top and grey hoodie.

“However, she is believed to have travelled to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, and may now be wearing white shorts and a black top."
