POLICE have released an update after two men were stabbed in Southampton on Sunday night.
The pair, both aged 30, were taken to hospital with serious injuries to their left sides.
One of them was found in Nightingale Road, Shirley while the other was in Ted Bates Road, a 15-minute drive away from the scene.
Police said yesterday their condition was serious. However, they confirmed today that both men are now stable and one of them has left hospital.
Seven men from Southampton were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the stabbing.
One of them, a 34-year-old, has been released from police custody and will face no further action.
The remaining six, aged 23, 25, 33, 34, 39 and 44 remain in custody at this time.
There was an increased police presence in Shirley yesterday as police carried out their investigation.
Restaurant Amira Lounge on Foyes Corner was cordoned off for most of the day while a stretch of nearby Dyer Road was cordoned off in the morning.
