Two teenagers have been arrested after a jet ski and a van were stolen.

Officers were called after midnight on June 5 following reports that a group of boys had been seen acting suspiciously next to a white van on Cromarty Road.

It was reported that one of the boys had been seen in possession of a knife and a jet ski had been taken from an address on the road.

Further enquiries revealed that the van in question was believed to have been stolen from an address on Millbrook Road East in May.

Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy from Southampton on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and attempted theft of a motor vehicle.

He has been released from police custody on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.

A second arrest has now been made in connection to the incident.

A 17-year-old boy from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of theft of a motor vehicle.

He remains in police custody at the current time.

Officers are investigating these incidents and enquiries are ongoing.
