A large section of the M3 was blocked earlier today - and police have confirmed why.
Motorists travelling on the northbound side between Chandler's Ford and Winchester faced heavy delays this afternnon.
Traffic reports described the incident as a crash, but police have revealed what caused the delays.
Officers stopped a vehicle between Otterbourne and Winchester at 2.40pm.
This followed earlier reports of a robbery in Fordingbridge.

The victim, a delivery driver, was about to make a delivery when he was approached by two men who demanded he handed over the boxes he was carrying.
He handed the parcels over and the men made off in a vehicle.
No-one was injured.
A 33-year-old man from Harlow and a 39-year-old man from London have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
They are currently in police custody and investigations are ongoing.
