THE cases below have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

BENJAMIN MOODY, 31, of Harwood Close, Totton pleaded guilty to a single charge of racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress by words or writing in Southampton. Moody was fined £499.5 and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £199.62 surcharge. 

HARRY HILL, 26, of King John Avenue, Bournemouth admitted driving without insurance, drug driving and using a phone whilst driving. All of the offences took place in Southampton. The drug charge relates to 218 microgrammes of Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - found in a litre of his blood. Hill was disqualified from driving for 16 months and fined £300. He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £120 surcharge. 

KINI HAILSTONE, 29, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress by words of writing in Southampton. Hailstone was jailed for three weeks and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

JOSEPH THOMAS, 49, of Hillside Avenue, Brent pleaded guilty to drink driving on Civic Centre Road, Southampton. He was caught with 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Thomas was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85.

BARTOSZ BADRAN, 30, of Redmoor Close, Southampton admitted driving whilst disqualified on Hawkeswood Road, Bitterne. Badran had been driving a BMW 116i at the time. They were given a one-year community order with 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 150 hours of unpaid work. Badran was also disqualified from driving for 23 months and must pay £85 court costs.

BENJAMIN MASTERS, 22, of Devonshire Road, Southampton was found guilty of driving without due care and attention. He was given five penalty points and fined £370. Masters must also pay court costs of £110 plus a £148 surcharge.
