THE following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

CHARLES CORNHILL, 31, of Honister Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to drink driving at Walnut Grove, Southampton. He was caught with 104 microgrammes in 100ml of breath. Cornhill was given a one-year community order with 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 200 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from driving for 30 months and ordered to pay £85 court costs plus a £114 surcharge.

JASON HOLLOWAY, 49, of Wimpson Lane, Southampton pleaded guilty to a single charge of harassment - breach of a restraining order on conviction. He was given a one-year community order with a mental health treatment requirement of six months and a rehabilitation activity requirement of five days. He must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.

DARREN HAM, 21, of Hampton Towers, Southampton admitted assault by beating at YMCA Southampton. He was granted bail to appear September 14, 2023 at the same court for sentencing.

STEVEN WOOD, 46, of Weavell Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop. This related to incidents at Co-Op, One-Stop and Iceland in Southampton where a combined £276.90 worth of groceries and household goods were stolen. He was jailed for 16 weeks.

JULIE GEARY, 48, of Fernside Close, Holbury admitted one count of driving whilst disqualified and another of driving without insurance on Coxford Road, Southampton. She had been driving a Ford van at the time. Geary was granted bail to appear at the same court on October 11, 2023 for sentencing. 

ROBYN SHAW, 27, of High Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight pleaded guilty to drug driving on Undershore Road, Lymington. An interim disqualification was made with Shaw bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on October 13 for sentencing.
