Following Southampton City Council's recent decision to close the car parks on Albion Place and Castle Way on the grounds of a “massive environmental improvement and improving the views of our city”, I would like to propose that the Civic Centre forecourt car park also be closed and converted into green space as this will also be a massive environmental improvement and greatly improve the view and image of Southampton City Council.
The Rose Garden Fountain could form the centrepiece of this new green space.
