Eastleigh Borough Council is currently consulting on the latest version of the Botley Neighbourhood Plan.

The consultation will run over an eight-week period – concluding on Thursday, October 26 – on behalf of Botley Parish Council, inviting residents to have their say.

The proposed neighbourhood plan is set to shape future development in the village and covers areas like housing, traffic, and infrastructure.

Residents will be asked to comment on whether the plan is appropriate, contributes towards a sustainable environment, and is compatible with human rights requirements.

The consultation follows the approval of the plan by Botley Parish Council.

A copy of the plan can be found online, outlining its vision for the area in 2036.

It states: “In 2036, Botley remains a warm and friendly place to live, work and to visit.

“New developments have been well incorporated into the Parish through our sensitive Neighbourhood Plan policies and have provided homes needed by both the local and wider community and for all generations.”
