Mr Edwards is a self-employed landscape gardener and moved from London 35 years ago to Maybush.
He says he is standing for election as there has been "no improvement in the lives of people" and the "standard of living continues to deteriorate".
Clare Fawcett is due to contest Eastleigh, with Kevan Chippindall-Higgin running in Fareham and Waterlooville.
