The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

SAMUEL CHARLETON, 30, of Lawn Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating. One of these took place in Southampton and the other one in Lymington. Charleton was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on October 16 for sentencing.

DWARKA BUDHAN, 61, of Inkpen Close, Reading pleaded guilty to a common assault in Southampton. He was given a one-year community order with 25 rehabilitation days and 40 hours of unpaid work. He was made subject to a restraining order and must pay a £114 surcharge. 

ARTUR NOWAK, 50, of Portswood Road, Southampton was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Southampton Central Police Station when he was suspected of having driven a vehicle. Nowak was given a one-year community order with 150 hours of unpaid work. He was banned from driving for 36 months and made to pay court costs of £620 plus a £95 surcharge. 

ROCKY RAY, 42, of Butts Ash Gardens, Hythe was found guilty of assault by beating in Christchurch. He pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis. Ray was given a 12-month community order with 12 days of rehabilitation activity and a £100 fine. He was ordered to pay £100 towards court costs and a £114 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. 

TIN YEUNG, 28, of Bryson Road, Edinburgh admitted a charge of stalking in Southampton in that he sent unwanted messages to his victim, as well as turning up at their workplace several times and printing pictures of their family. He was bailed to appear at the same court on November 10 for sentencing.
