Southampton City Council has provided an update after Springford Road was blocked last week following a fly-tipping incident.
A bath, cupboard doors, and grass cuttings were just some of the items that had been dumped in the road opposite Southampton General Hospital in the early hours of Friday morning.
Following the incident, Cllr Matt Renyard, Cabinet Member for Safer City, said: “We take these types of incidents seriously and whenever we are able we will look to prosecute to the extent that the law allows."

A spokesperson for Southampton City Council added: “The fly tipping on Springford Road was removed by our teams on the day of the incident following a visit by our investigation team and the subsequent witness appeal."
In the hours following the incident, resident of Springford Road, Carol Glister, told the Echo: “I've never known anything like this to happen before, it's crazy.
“You've got enough in there to re-fit your kitchen!"
