Emergency services were called to a quiet New Forest neighbourhood following the death of a man.
The victim, who was in his 50s, was found unresponsive in a property in Hawthorn Road, Hythe on Monday morning.
Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious and his family have been informed.
An air ambulance landed in a field by Orchard Infant School in Dibden Purlieu, only a short walk away, at 9.30am.
Paul McKnight, 63, was out for a walk when he saw the helicopter.
He said: "It's not often a helicopter lands in the field, it's a quiet area. I could smell the jet fumes from my house when it lifted off."
Mr McKnight also saw an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and a police car parked in Hawthorn Road.
"The two incidents looked like they could be related," he said.
The police response

"He has sadly been pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
"His family has been informed."
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been contacted for more information.
