Three people have been arrested after suspected drugs and phones were found at a property in Totton.

On Wednesday at around 2.30pm police officers raided a home in Chaffinch Close.

Suspected class A drugs, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia were among the items seized.

Three people, a 42-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both from Totton, and a 42-year-old man from Marchwood were all arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

The warrant was led by officers from the Totton Neighbourhood Policing Team and supported by a dog unit.

New Forest East Inspector Linda Davies said: “What we saw (on Wednesday) was an example of exceptional local policing. This was a really positive operation by our teams and certainly won’t be our last.

“We have taken more illegal drugs off the streets and will continue to deal with those dealing, possessing and using illegal drugs.

“Drug-related activity will not be tolerated in our communities. Warrants, such as this one, are just one of the ways we can tackle the problem.

“We will continue to relentlessly pursue and deal with those who are causing harm in our towns.

“As we always say, we can only do what we do with the support and help of the community itself.

“The information we receive from the public is vital to us being able to carry out warrants and tackle illegal activity across Totton and the New Forest.

“Please continue to let us know of drug-related activity in the area in which you live, so we can allocate our resources to effectively and robustly deal with it.”

The trio have been release under investigation.
