The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

JAIMIE PILCHER, 50, of Tankerville Road, Southampton admitted drink driving a Nissan Qashqai on Portsmouth Road. He was caught with 99 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml of blood. Pilcher was banned from driving for 40 months and fined £120. He must pay £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge. 

AHMAD HUSSAIN, 23, of Honeysuckle Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis in Eastleigh. Hussain was fined £266 and must pay £85 court costs and a £106 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. 

PAUL HUGHES, 42, of Maritime Avenue, Marchwood pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. This relates to £25 worth of alcohol that was stolen from Tesco in Hythe. Hughes was given a two-year conditional discharge and must pay £25 compensation. He must also pay court costs of £85 and a £26 surcharge.

CYRUS WANJINU, 22, of Tickleford Drive, Southampton admitted driving without insurance and drink driving. He was behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta at Weston Shore when he was caught with 47 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £319. Wanjinu must pay £85 court costs and a £128 surcharge. 

ADRIAN HARROLD, 58, of Hipley Road, Havant pleaded guilty to using a mobile phone whilst driving a Mercedes Sprinter at Avenue Road, Lymington. He was banned from driving for six months and fined £183. Harrold must pay £110 court costs and a £73 surcharge. 

WOJCHIECH PERON, 30, of Rownhams Road, Southampton admitted driving without insurance on Redbridge Hill. Peron was banned from driving for six months and fined £384. He must also pay £110 court costs and a £154 surcharge.
