A man who was previously warned to keep his dog under control or risk it being destroyed has been fined for failing to comply.

Jamie Campbell, 44, was previously told to keep his dangerous and out-of-control Presa Canario called Lincoln under control.

The order, issued by Southampton Magistrates' Court in August last year said the dog must be kept "under proper control".

It said he must ensure the dog is not walked in or around the Harefield Estate.

But after failing to comply with this Campbell, of Denmead Road, Southampton, was ordered to re-appear in the same court this month.

Magistrates fined him £150 for the breach and he was ordered to pay court costs of £85 plus a £60 surcharge.

The amount is due to be paid in £20 instalments.

It comes after he was previously warned the dog would be destroyed if the order was not complied with.

The order also says the dog must be muzzled in public, can only be walked by him or his partner and must wear a collar with a tag bearing Campbell's name and address.
