Fireworks lit up the sky this weekend as revellers turned out to watch displays at The Ageas Bowl and Mayflower Park.

The Southampton skyline was filled with flashes of colour as part of Bonfire Night celebrations.

The festivities began on Friday night at The Ageas Bowl, with the 20-minute display kicking off at 7.30pm.

As one of the premier local events, it always draws in a crowd - and spectators were in for a treat.

Last night, Mayflower Park was the place to be - and despite the heavy rain, it did not dampen people's spirits as the fireworks crackled above.

Tonight, Totton and Eling Cricket Club's spectacular is set to act as a fitting finale to the celebrations, with gates open at 4.30pm and the display kicking off at 6.30pm.
