A luxury jewellery store in Westquay has moved to bigger premises following a multi-million-pound expansion.

Laings, formerly located on the shopping centre's ground floor next to John Lewis, has reopened in a new 9,000 square foot showroom in the unit formally occupied by Victoria's Secret.

The £3 million expansion forms part of a £10 million investment to revamp its showrooms throughout the UK.

The Southampton team are led by store manager Andy Andreou who has been with the company for the past six years starting out as assistant manager.

Sheriff of Southampton, Councillor Dave Shields cut the ribbon last Thursday to officially open the store, which is home to some of the world’s most prestigious watch and Jewellery brands including Patek Philippe, Rolex and Faberge.

Stuart McDowell, Managing Director at Laings, said: “We are excited to be opening our new enhanced showroom in Southampton and investing in the Southampton community with our increased team and space.

“Our new and bigger unit is designed to enhance our clients' shopping experience, giving our clients access to some of the most exclusive and luxury brands in the jewellery market.”

With roots in Scotland, Laings is the country’s longest-standing family-run jeweller dating back 180 years.
