Drivers in Southampton have been warned of upcoming road closures in the city this week.

National Highways has announced a number of road closures in Southampton this week that are likely to affect people.

Some of the roads impacted are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

These are the National Highway road closures to watch out for this week:

  • The A36, work began at 8pm on September 28th and is due to last until 6am on November 11th. These works are expected to cause moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes.
  • The M271 will be closed in both directions, from junction 1 to the Romsey Road roundabout.
  • The M27 junction 3 slip road and a lane will also be closed for resurfacing work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not included.
