Police have said no further action will be taken against a man who was arrested on suspicion of assault.
It comes after officers issued a wanted appeal for a man saying he was wanted in connection with an assault causing actual bodily harm, non-fatal strangulation and criminal damage in Blackfield on September 6.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We can confirm a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, criminal damage, harassment without violence, intentional strangulation, intimating a witness and making threats to kill.
“The man has been released and will face no further action.”
