A van driver who was stopped at 1.50am was found to be almost three times the drink-drive limit, police say.
Posting online Gosport Police said: "Officers from DPT (District Policing Team) stopped a van on Middlecroft Lane after it was seen driving in a suspicious manner.
"The driver, a 50-year-old man from Gosport, admitted he had been drinking most of the evening and was driving to work in the New Forest area.
"The driver provided a positive breath test at the roadside and was arrested.
"He was taken to the Eastern Police Investigation Centre (EPIC) where he provided an evidential sample of 103mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.
"Officers have now returned to the station and are completing a case file for the courts."
