A man who stole toiletries and damaged a shop has been jailed for a string of offences.
Sam Hook, of no fixed abode, was jailed for six months at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old was charged with possession of a knife in a public place on November 2 2022 in Varos Close, theft of toiletries from Savers on Gosport High Street on October 30 this year, and common assault at One Stop in Beauchamp Avenue on November 4.

He was also charged with criminal damage at the One Stop on the same day this year, and criminal damage to a police cell on November 6 this year.
He pleaded guilty to all the offences.
Hook was ordered to pay compensation to the victims and ordered to pay a £74 victim surcharge.
