Southampton's drivers will have four road closures to avoid on the M27.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M27, from 8pm February 13 2023 to 6am February 17 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 4 to junction 8, carriageway, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing work.

• M27, from 9am November 13 2023 to 5pm February 23 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 3 to junction 2, 24/7 hard shoulder closure for structures work.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M27, from 8pm January 8 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound to M3 northbound, link road lane closure for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
