Two suspects in a manslaughter investigation have been bailed after a man was hit by a car at a car wash in Eastleigh.

The two men, aged 42 and 53, both from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter following a crash at Car Wash Bay.

They have now been released on bail while the investigation continues.

Police were called out to Bishopstoke Road on Sunday afternoon after a 35-year-old man was stuck by a car.

Despite the best efforts of medics, the man died in hospital on Tuesday evening.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.

He too has been bailed until April 21.
