Five men who appeared in court over a brawl between Saints and Tottenham fans are due to stand trial later this year.

Bradley Doughty, Thomas Burke, Jacob Ball, Kane Buckley and David Pilgrim have all pleaded not guilty to violent disorder following the fight on March 18, 2023.

Footage shared on social media at the time showed rival fans hurling chairs, tables and glasses at each other in Oxford Street shortly after the end of the Premier League game at St Mary's.

A 61-year-old man from Bursledon suffered facial injuries as a result of the incident.

The five men appeared at Southampton Crown Court today and spoke only to confirm their names.

Prosecutor, Simon Jones said they were supporters of the home team, adding: "We will be seeing some of the away team at some stage".

Doughty, 28, of Holly Gardens, West End; Burke, 30, of Peverells Wood Avenue, Chandler's Ford; Ball, 18, of Outlands Lane, Curdridge; Buckley, 25 and Pilgrim, 46, of Wellington Close, Dibden Purlieu are now due to face trial later this year.

They were released on conditional bail to appear at the same court for trial on November 4.
