A Pizza Hut delivery store and a city centre bar are among the twelve Southampton establishments given new food hygiene ratings.

It is good news for all of them, as according to the Food Standards Agency’s website they have all been given a five - the highest-possible rating.

The seven restaurants, cafes or canteens scored were:

• GOALS at Vida 5-A-Side Football Pitches, Millbrook Point Road, Southampton which was rated on January 19

• Slim Chickens at Unit R01, Mezzanine Food Level, West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton which was rated on January 18

• Tudor House Cafe at Tudor House Museum, St Michaels Square, Southampton which was rated on January 15

• Belgium and Blues at 184 Above Bar Street, Southampton which was rated on January 10

• Isaacs Cafe at Cafe Rittaza Platform 2, Central Station, Southampton which was rated on January 9

• Starbucks at Pumpkin Platform 4, Central Station, Southampton, Hampshire which was rated on January 9

• Piccolo Mondo at 36 Windsor Terrace, Southampton which was rated on January 8

Two pubs, bars or nightclubs were also remarked.

These were the Swaythling Working Mens Club at 2 High Road, Swaythling, which was rated on January 24, and The Butcher's Hook Alehouse at 7 Manor Farm Road, Southampton, which was rated on January 24.

Three takeaways were also given the maximum mark.

These were:

  • Pizza Roma at 166 Bitterne Road West, Southampton, which was rated on January 15.
  • The Pizza Hut Delivery at Unit 7 Portswood Centre, 128 - 150 Portswood Road, Southampton, which was rated on January 11.
  • Upper Crust at Platform 1, Central Station, Southampton, which was rated on January 10.
