A woman has been charged over shoplifting at a Tesco store in Millbrook.
Officers received reports of a woman in the process of stealing various items and being abusive to staff at the Tesco Express store on Wimpson Lane.
Police responded to the scene and arrested the woman.
Now, Karis Michaela McGeorge, 37, of Buttermere Close, has been charged with three counts of theft from a shop, three counts of failing to comply with community protection notice and breaching bail conditions.
She appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court yesterday where she was remanded into custody to appear at the same court on March 22.
