These six pets in Southampton are looking for their forever homes - can you help them find one?
These rescue cats and dogs currently live at the Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) in Mansbridge and are looking for a family to give them a loving home.
But be warned - these lovable animals look cute and cuddly, but many will need a significant amount of time and training.
Elsa
Breed: Unknown – possibly a Jack Russell cross
Age: 5 to 6
Profile: Elsa had been used as a breeding dog by her previous owner and was brought into the sanctuary by the local dog warden.
The dog handlers at SCAR described Elsa as “an absolute sweetheart” and said she deserved a loving owner after being exploited by puppy farmers.
Sadie
Age: 3 to 4
Breed: Stray dog
Profile: Sadie was brought to the rescue after being abandoned in Portsmouth.
This lovable mutt is full of energy and loves going on walks with her ball, but due to her excitable nature she will need some training.
Doc
Age: Believed to be around 6
Breed: Stray dog
Profile: Named after one of the seven dwarfs, Doc and seven other dogs were left on the side of a road in Chichester.
Oreo
Age: 4 to 5
Profile: This black and white cat was left in a box in the car park of Tesco in Millbrook with a note saying his owner had passed away.
Staff at SCAR said: “We often call him double stuffed Oreo as he is a total foodie.”
Rory
Age: 6 to 8 months
Profile: With no microchip, little is known about this friendly white and grey moggy.
She is believed to have had an owner as she is well suited to being around other cats.
Nick
Age: 6 to 8 months
Profile: This black cat also came to SCAR without a microchip.
Staff stressed the importance of keeping microchips up to date as microchips are now compulsory by law.
