A man in his 90s who went to give a woman money for charity became the victim of a robbery instead.

Police want to speak to this woman in connection with the incident, which happened on Thursday at around 11.45am.

According to the force, the man was near the Waitrose in Locks Heath Centre Way when he was approached by a woman carrying a clipboard, who said she was collecting money for charity.

When he took his wallet out to give her money, she pushed him and took money from his wallet before making off, police said.

Police describe the woman as being between 30 and 40 years old, around 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build, with dark brown shoulder length hair.
