Skylark Golf Club and Country Club has announced it’s under new ownership after going into administration.

The award-winning golf and country club in Whiteley – which features an 18-hole golf course, spa and gym facilities, as well as wedding and event services – announced on July 12 last year that it had gone into administration.

Administrators from Kroll Advisory were then brought in to manage the complex while a purchaser was sought to take over the site.

Nearly eight months later First Golf has been announced as the new owner of the golf and country club.

In a statement to members, Russell Bartlett, chairman of the Essex-based company said: “First Golf was established in 1992 and owns and operates the prestigious Heron Country Club, Brentwood, Essex.
