The following speeding cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

DAVID HARTE, 52, of Sandleheath Road, Alderholt pleaded guilty to exceeding a 30mph speed limit on Station Road, Sandleheath. He was caught by manned speeding equipment driving at 35mph in a Mercedes A210. Harte was fined £40 and received three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £55 court costs and a £16 surcharge. 

CRAIG CLARKE, 45, of Quob Farm Close, West End admitted to exceeding a 30mph speed limit at Belbins in Romsey. He was clocked at 35mph in a Vauxhall Astra by manned speeding equipment. Clarke was fined £72 and received three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay a £28 surcharge.

SIAN LANGDALE, 19, of Holbury Drive, Holbury pleaded guilty to speeding on Bitterne Road West. She was caught by manned equipment driving at 57mph on the 30mph road. The offence was committed in a Ford. Langdale was fined £130 and received six points on her licence. She must also pay £110 court costs and a £52 surcharge. 

ALAN JONES, 50, of Cuckmere Lane, Southampton admitted to speeding on the M3 between junctions five and six. He was caught by manned speeding equipment driving at 79mph in a Mercedes C200. The national 70mph speed limit was in place at the time. Jones was fined £72 and received three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay a £28 surcharge. 

JORDAN BARNARD, 30, of Fisgard Road, Gosport pleaded guilty to speeding on the A3 London Road in Cosham. He was driving an Audi A3 when he was caught by manned equipment driving at 56mph. The speed limit is 30mph. Barnard was fined £415 and received six points on his licence. He must also pay £110 court costs and a £166 surcharge.
