A fire involving several cars in a quiet Eastleigh neighbourhood is being treated as a 'suspected arson', police have confirmed.

Firefighters from Eastleigh, Redbridge, and St Mary’s were called to the blaze on Drum Road in Eastleigh just after 5am on Monday morning

The exact cause of the blaze is still unknown at this time, according to the fire service.

Jennett Unwin, a resident of Drum Road, had her car destroyed and her home damaged in what police now believe to be an arson attack.

The fire destroyed two residents' cars and a van - and CCTV captured on Jennett's Ring doorbell appears to show two men running from the scene after the blaze started.

Police have now confirmed to the Echo they are treating it as arson, adding that their investigations continue.
